What’s it all about?

An excited Sarah & Duck take the Shallots to see the Ribbon Sisters perform with their family circus.

This is the episode where:

• Sarah & Duck take the Shallots to the circus to see the Ribbon Sisters and their family perform

• They all enjoy the show so much that they want to see it again – but the Ribbon family are about to head off on a year-long world tour, and this was their last show!

• Sarah is disappointed that she won’t get to see the Ribbon Sisters again for a long time

• The next day, Sarah makes a goodbye picture for the Ribbon Sisters, but when she visits their house, there is no answer at their door

• Sarah & Duck head back to the park to try and find the Ribbon Sisters, but it looks like the circus has already packed up and left

• Just as they’re are leaving the park to go home for some lemon water, Sarah & Duck see the circus trucks pass by

• Sarah gets to say goodbye to The Ribbon Sisters and give them her picture! They give Sarah & Duck some sunglasses in exchange.

This is what we learn...

  • A circus is a travelling show that takes place in a big tent and features acrobats, clowns and other speculator acts
  • It takes years of practice and a lot of skill to be a circus performer
  • A contortionist is a super-bendy acrobat that can move their body into all sorts of shapes
  • You don’t always get to say goodbye to people, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know they’ll be missed, nor that they won’t miss you
  • ‘Alvida’ means goodbye, or farewell, in Hindi or Urdu
